In the 21st century global economy, Anger is a major challenge!

Anger is a major problem in our technologically advanced society. Although a valid and appropriate emotion, inappropriate responses to anger may lead to stress, anxiety, violence, destruction, and criminal activity, among others. The ability to control one’s response to anger requires specific skills and training. Anger is frequently the antecedent to a myriad of mental health and behavioral issues, concerns, problems, and challenges.

A former Tenured Professor at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, and with an earned Doctorate in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, she has extensive experience in education, mental health, social services, food and beverage, transportation, and criminal justice, including The State University of New York, Educational Testing Services, and American Airlines.

Dr. Coleman also provides interventions related to depression, addictions, PTSD, anxiety, domestic violence, sexual assault. conflict resolution, sports psychology, human capital, and diverse populations.

She has over 60 inter/national publications, including Amazon #1 Bestsellers, books, refereed journal articles, curriculum guides, and technical reports, to name a few.

As President/CEO of The Coleman Group & The Anger Doctor, she is fondly referred to as “Dr. Vicki or Dr. Anger,” and consults for education, business, industry, government, professional associations, and community organizations.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Vicki  travels Internationally conducting workshops and seminars, and evaluating institutions, organizations, and government systems.

The Anger Doctor provides anger management; mediation; arbitration; conflict resolution and systems; substance abuse evaluations; human capital; psychotherapy; training; and research.

Dr. Coleman earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Political Science and U.S. & Latin American History from The University of Iowa; a Master’s in Counselor Education from Northern Illinois University, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

The Anger Doctor, Dr. Vicki D. Coleman, is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, possessing Full Clinical Licenses in several jurisdictions, and she also has over 20 Board Certifications. She will assist individuals, groups, families, organizations, and institutions in identifying the source of anger or conflict, and provide appropriate interventions. Her theoretical framework and orientation include focusing on Self-Concept & Self-Esteem; and the identification of the antecedents of anger as an early traumatic experience, initially discerned during childhood or adolescence.

Dr. Vicki is a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC); Master Addictions Counselor (MAC); Doctoral Addictions Counselor (DAC); Substance Abuse Professional (SAP); National Board Certified Career Counselor (NCCC); Certified Anger Management Facilitator (CAMF); Board Certified Coach (BCC); and Federal Mediator, among others; and she will help individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations, and institutions address issues and concerns related to anger/management, conflict resolution, and behavioral health disorders.

As a Sports Psychologist working with student, professional, and retired athletes, Dr. Vicki is completing her Certification as a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, and Transformation Specialist from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
